Cognitive Science bookmark

During my work study position as a Media Assistant with the Cognitive Science department, I made a bookmark design that would be passed out to students. Due to time constraints and funding, they were not printed in time for the Open House event at the University of Toronto. However, this was a fun project to do!
Final draft: back of the bookmark
final draft: front of the bookmark
This was one of the first design I had in mind for the bookmark. I was inspired by designs I saw when I googled computer science, the brain, and technology. I liked the design of the nodes which created an image of the brain. I felt that my placement for the text could have been done better, but was very pleased with the design of the bookmark overall.
This is another one of the designs I thought about for the bookmark. I drew inspiration from bold typography and nice contrasting colours. In the end, I didn't go with this design because I didn't feel like the look went well with the idea of cognitive science. The colours did not relate and the placement of the text on the front could be harder to read.
